OK gang,
My turn to ask again. Put together a new machine last night, Matsonic MS-8127c+, Duron 750 w/fan, 128mb pc133, 10 gig Western digital.
Problem is, turn it on, all lights flicker, Trident logo appears for a second, one beep, Award bios info, Energystar logo, cpu info, and "Hit DEL to enter setup" at bottom. This is as far as it goes. No other beeps, clicks, or grinding, no response to keyboard input, NOTHING.
I have checked all jumpers, reseated all cards, tried another keyboard, read the manual AGAIN.
Didn't find anything on Matsonic's site except to talk to my vender.I will call them this afternoon but I thought I might see if anyone here had a suggestion first http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif
Thanks to all

Can you try the RAM stick(s) in another system?

I had a similiar problem yesterday with a brand new mainboard......turned out to be a brand new "BAD" mainboard http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif....as you probably know, you start with Ram as the suspect, then the video, then the cpu + fan.....then the dang mainboard.....it sounds like you have a bad BIOS chip in there.

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Thanks Randy. I got home today and called but their Tech support has some pretty short hours.
Did some further testing and I'm sure of the board, but HEY, that happens.
