One long beep every few seconds is all I get. Removed new AMD 2000 cpu installed a 1gig T-Bird that I know works, reset video card and new corsair 128 mg DDR-- flashed bios. This is my second KR7-A 133R build, "the first one was a breeze". All componets were working in a KT-7 Maybe someone could tell what the single beep is? Phoenix Bios

A single long beep indicates bad memory. It will repeat over and over every few seconds.
A second possibility is a bad motherboard. I just sent back a Shuttle MB that refused to recognize two good sticks of memory (no boot, long beep code), then booted with a third but only recognized 128 MB out of the 256 MB DDR 2100 dimm.
I managed to install windows and a whole lot of other stuff, then two days later it wouldn't boot at all. No fans turning, no beeps, no nothing - bad motherboard (refurbished by Shuttle, sold by NewEgg).

Thanks for the reply SANDMAN----- Since I have a duplicate KR7A-133R I exchanged componets until the only componet to exchange was the MOBO. I have had excellent results from AMD and ABIT motherboards in the past so I guess I'll try another one. Thanks Dennis :)
