Ive just installed Windows XP Pro, and upon going into the Display properties, when I click on "Advanced", it doesnt give me any of the normal Tabs such as D3D and OpenGL etc settings. There not there at all!!.

I'm using the 30.82 drivers on a GeForce 3 Ti500.

I wanted to go and adjust my VSync and AA settings, but I cant find a way to do it. I'm pretty new to XP, so can anyone advise me as to the course of action to rectify this problem?.

Thanx.

Did you reinstall the video card's software?

Just been on the Nvidia website and downloaded the 40.72 XP WHQL drivers.
That seems to have cured the problem. Dont know how......but it has..!!

Is the registry tweak, "Coolbits" still the same with XP as it was with 98SE?. I'd like to overclock my Ti500 to the same settings as it was running on under 98SE.

The previous driver set was not fully XP compatible.....and this set is.

Go here
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/HCL/
And find the correct "Hardware Compatability List" [HCL] for your Operating System.

See if this hardware is compatible.

Oops! Two answers got in before me.

Use 40.72 WHQL drivers. Be sure to remove the traces from the previous one.
nVIDIA's chipset users, go to www.nvworld.ru, download the rivatuner utility. It is the best for tweaking nVIDIA's chipsets if u don't want to edit the registry manually. U can even overclock ur card on low level. And 100's of other settings from AA to V-sync, even driver specific and game specific tunings and presets. Its a must for nVIDIA's chipset users.
