It appears that the Keyboard buffer is full as when I am typing it will stop displaying characters and then a 9 will show up on the monitor and I can type for a little while longer. Sometimes it will do it with the Enter Key also.

How old is your keyboard? Ever spill anything on it or drop it?

You can try cleaning it with a can of compressed air.

Or hook your keyboard up to another system, or another keyboard to yours.

It is a friend of mines laptop. I had thought the same about something spilled but he says no, ahem, and it really doesn't look like any thing between the keys. He is of Greek nationality and I accused him of dropping Feta cheese or Squid legs on it<G>
