How to I get rid of the "Enter Network Password" prompt to it doesn't appear at all?
I've spend part of the evening having to reformat (+ MBR) and reinstall WIN98, applications. What I don't recall seeing before this evenings process was a "Enter Network Password" prompt /-: Is there a way to get rid of this so it does NOT apprear at startup?
Thanks!

That's always there after a fresh install. Type in a user name and no password, don't even click in the password box, and click OK, it should not be there next time you reboot. If you get a confirm password box, do the same, leave both fields blank and click OK.

Hmm, that's what I've done (The username appears automatically, click ok, & no password), but it still appears with each boot /-: I'll double-check when I go home tonight to make sure. Otherwise?
Thanks!

Otherwise check the network settings in control panel and make sure it is set to Windows log-on.

I think the problem is it wants a network logon not a normal win98 logon, the network logon is normally installed when you install a cable modem or NIC as opposed to the win98 logon that can be avoidied during installation of win98.
you need it to be able to connect to what ever network you have either cable or LAN.
Dont know if there is a fix or not Iknow it doesnt solve your problem but hopefully helps with whats going on.
