Does anyone know what the last Soundblaster model was that was Soundblaster compatible under DOS? I'm trying to get some old games working with sound, and my Live! refuses to work, even with some third party DOS drivers I found.

I thought sure that the drivers that came with the Live! included a DOS compatible one.

Anyway, probably your best bet is one of the earlier models, such as the SB16. I think the Live! DOS drivers should emulate it though. Which version of Windows are you running?

Maybe you could post back and tell us the procedure you used to install the Live! in Windows. OK?

BB, I sure think you're right about the DOS drivers being included. I seem to remember configuration conflicts with my ASUS Motherboard which required me to reserve an IRQ in the BIOS for the Soundblaster emulation.

I have the SoundBlaster Live! Platinum
