Hi ! I have a 400 intel pentium2 192megs of ram ,13gig h/d,48xCdrom,Dvdrom.
I am running the OS Win98S.E.
When I browse the internet outta the blue it go to the dos board & tell theres a Windows Protect Error please restart your computer.
I wait for a few seconds then it will autumaticly shutdown on its own.
This only occurs while I'm browsing the internet, there doesn't appear to be any major problems with the pc itself, other than the error.
If any one outthere experiences this similiar problem it would be well aprieciated if someone could help me resolve this irritating issue or direct me to some kinda fix.
I do look forward to all who replies.
Thanks In Advance: "Lightning_Stryker"

Lightning Stryker, I recently had this problem when booting up, with the same error message, Windows Protection Error. Go to Google and type the phrase in and you will get some very useful references on how to solve this, several of them being Microsoft (sorry, I didn't save the urls). In my case, it appeared to be a file that was getting loaded in my autoexec.bat file that I had just added.
