I'm currently Building a PC for my little sister, I have everything working except i'm getting a lot of feed back through the speakers. Its kind of a buzzing sound and it gets louder when you move the mouse or when the hard drive starts spinning. I know its not the speakers because i've try a couple of different sets. The sound card is an AC97 and is integreated with the mother board. I'm wondering if any bodies run it to this before and has some suggestions.

Thanks For any help you can give.

That isn't really feedback. Feedback is a high pitched squeal caused by an ope mic near a speaker...ear peircing anyone?

It sounds like an IRQ or driver problem.

What chipset is the motherboard?

What OS?

Have you loaded the motherboard drivers?

You may want to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers.

I'm running Windows XP , the chip set is via VT8753(P4x266) NorthBridge VT8233 SouthBridge. And your right its not feedback its seems more like an interference. all my drives are up to date and i don't have any conflics with my irqs, Unistalling the audio drivers didn't help.

Thanks for the suggestions let me know if you have any others

How high is the volume? I find that when the volume is up on my computer speakers and there is no sound being generated by the computer, they do tend to fuzz. I keep them turned down most of the time as a result.
