hi again, well after replacing the hard drive, processor and video card I still had the problem. The computer is now up and running in almost perfect condition. The cause of *all* my headaches was bad ram. Go figure http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

btw, ram has *really* come down in price.. 128mb of ram is only 60.00

actually, i bought my newest 128mb PC133 stick from crucial for only $34.20+3.20 shipping, i would suggest you look there for a better deal. hope this saves you some money. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif
