I just loaded win 95 in an AST Pentium 120. Now it will not see the CD Rom and under the Performance tab in Properties it says "Master Boot Record has been changed". File system says 'All drives are using MS Dos compatibility mode" IT should say '32bit' isnt it?. Please help and tell me what I am doing wrong. This is the second time I have formatted the drive and started fresh today. I am not using the recovery disk that came with the system as after I loaded that disk it comes up as invalid system disk ,although there are no floppies in the drive.
Thanks

Hi there. Your cd-rom will not show up when MS Dos compatibility mode is in effect. Unfortuneatly, I'm not sure how you can change that on a Win95 system. If I find something, I'll post back.

what make computer is it??

I really think you need to use your Recovery CD, if it is corrupt, then call your computer vender to have them send you a new one. This recovery CD has all of your factory installed programs and configurations as well as your Operating system ( the one that your pc was configured for originally)
