When I boot up the system I get the following error
Disk I/O error
Replace the disk, and then press any key
What do I do?????
Is there a floppy in the the floppy drive?
Can you enter the BIOS setup?
If you can check the boot order, the drive configuration (hard drive -- set it to autodetect)
Try booting with a bootdisk...
Have you installed any new hardware/software lately?
Check the cable connections...
Some more info would be helpful.

Tell us a bit more........Do you know if the computer is set to boot from a Floppy Drive 1st? If so, you may have a broken 1.44" Floppy Drive and need to replace it. If the system is set [in Bios] to boot to the "C" or Hard Drive first, you will need to change it to the floppy drive in your Bios Setup [usually F10 at startup] and put a "System" or Win98 startup disk that contains "Fdisk" on it to check the hard drive. If Fdisk cant find a hard drive, post back and someone will give you the next step....
