Hey everybody! I have a Pentium IV 2GHz processor and was wondering what the ideal operating temp for this chip is? Right now I'm playing some music and have a few browsers open and running ftp and Sandra Software reports my cpu at 22C. Im assuming thats fine but I was just wondering at what temp would u be running too hot?

Also, that 6-pin auxillary temperature connector on ATX, what exactly is that providing ur motherboard with?

If that is an accurate report you are running very cool. 30s - 40s are normal, 50s are warm and 60 is hot.

I doubt you are really running at 22C, that would be cooler that your room temp unless you like it really cool around your house. You might want to check in BIOS since the report there tends to be a little more accurate.
