My sister's computer is acting very strange. Her computer was running just fine - then all of a sudden the computer screen acts weird. It looks as though a 2 year old has grabbed the mouse and is pressing buttons and moving it around. She thinks it's possessed. The screen does this even when no one is touching the mouse. It does it during programs and when no programs are running. Has anyone known of this problem?
It isn't the screen...it is the mouse and usually it is a driver problem, a reboot should clear it up for a while, but it could be the mouse drivers (if using a logitech mouse try the latest version of Mouseware (http://www.logitech.com/cf/support/mousefiles.cfm)...it could also be a sound card driver issue...go to the control panel and click on multimedia, on the audio tab click on the advanced properties and then turn back the acceleration a notch or two. Also check in device manager for any possible conflicts, boot into safe mode and check device manager there for any "ghost" dirvers...remove the extras.
