How do I find out if my drivers are up to date or if they need to be updated? I heard that a Video driver can really screw up your pc if it is all messed up...

Cheers!

Nevermind Sea69 Sylvie...he's busy hackin' his way into the DisneyWorld network...seems he heard there might some pics of the Minnie Mouse character out of costume...tryin' to confirm if she is his high school sweetheart or not http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Put that mouse down Sea...you don't want to hurt any one now...j/k

Plus it may have con-p-used him that your post is not accompanied by a problem...or as some of us already know...your current problem with freezing...keep plugging away at your origninal post for better results and less confusion for all involved.....anyways.....

Bout that driver thing...

To see if there is an apparent-to-Windows problem with anything...
Go into the Device Manager (right-click My Computer icon...select Properties...Device Manager Tab....If there are any Yellow Exclamation marks or red x's...this is an indication of a problem, conflict and or disabled status...

To check the video driver details and date...click the plus sign by Display Adapter ...highlight your adapter by clicking on it once...then select Properties at the bottom of the box...a new box will appear...select Driver and in that box you should see a file date and the provider name. Now you have to go to the manufacturer's web site and look for the latest version of the driver for your specific video card...make sure you find one that is for your operating system. They usually offer very good instructions for updating the driver on the site itself. If you have integrated video (no video card, but on the motherboard itself, you will probably have to get the driver for your motherboard. Do you have a manual for system, motherboard in particular?

I gather the freeze is still on...(sorry couldn't resist http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif )
