I put a 2200+ in back in October & the store didn't have any Arctic Silver 3 so I used "some other" compound. I don't remember anymore which brand. Noticed lately that my CPU temp is up about 3C to 45C after gaming. Could it be the HS compound is breaking down already? It's been less than 4 months...

All my fans are running and system temp is fine at 38C.

An accumulation of dust may be cutting down airflow slightly through the heatsink or the case... or your room heating is on more now in February than it was in October.

Yes Artic silver is better but your temps are of normal range matter of fact better than some. especially after gaming...

Thanks guys. Admittedly I'm a bit manic about the temps but hey...:)

I considered the rise in room temp over the winter but thought +3C may be a bit much. Maybe not,,, I'll know in time. Appreciate the input as always.

Maybe you are just getting better at gaming and working the CPU harder...:D :D
