Hey all.

My parents have a computer desk with no ventilation for the tower and accidentally closed the door on it and let it run overnight. The computer was off when they came in in the morning to use it, and now it will not boot at all. (No power, LEDs don't come on, makes no noise).

Well, I'm going over to fix it tomorrow and would like some advice on how to troubleshoot this one. Is it most likely the power supply what would go if it overheated? Or a more serious problem? Gonna bring my own computer with me for swapping parts.

Any advice would be great to make tomorrow go a little smoother. thanks all !!

I agree with you that the power supply is the first thing to check (since your getting no lights or fans) after that it's the processor. Hopfully the PS went before your processor overheated as their cheaper to replace.
