not too sound to funny my dog wet on my pc and shorted out my power button I could not find a power button that fit my pc so I bought a new case. my question I can find and plug in the power led, the hdd led but I cannot find the Power switch slot. the power led and hdd led is next with each other and right next to it is a slot that saids DCS/W. is that were the power switch goes? I have a reset switch that is dangling also but my my computer did not have a reset buttom. or at least my old case did not. It is an old emachine. my mobo is vt82c596a 9918 ce 1300n2600 any suggestion will help

assuming emachines didn't mess with it, it should give you a clue about where the connector goes. There is a good chance there will be a reset connector as well and I would use it if there is. I am guessing you didn't note where you disconnected the old power button, it would be the same with this case.
