I'm trying to get my new system to run a little cooler and noticed something on my system monitor software called "system hysteresis." Its a temp value, below the CPU and system overheat temps. I looked for a quite a but and it seems that the word hysteresis means: The lagging of an effect behind its cause. How does that apply to a CPU? Does that mean that ablove/below that temp it's delaying things?
Thanks

Hello spedtoe169 and welcome to the PC Guide http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Here are a couple of links discussing CPU hysteresis
From a Google search (http://overclockedcpus.com/forums/General_Overclocking_Issues/posts/428.html)
From a Google search (http://students.cec.wustl.edu/~sapphire/system/configure.html)
From a post (http://www.suggestafix.com/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000064.html) I made on another forum.
I hope this sheds more light on the topic http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
