what scanner would you prefer to use on your computer

I would go for a Hewlett Packard scanner with a USB connection if you have one available on your PC.I have this type and have no problems with it.

"Prefer" implies that I have had several to choose from, which I haven't. But I have the bottom Visioneer parallel port scanner and have never had any problems with it...cost me $39 after rebate. We bought my husband a "fancier" USB Visioneer scanner because we thought we really needed the OCR part of the software. And the "one touch" buttons seemed kinda cool. His cost $80...no rebate. His has had numerous problems, still doesn't work "right" half the time, and turned out that my "bottom" software OCR's better than his "top" software.
