I have an AMD K6 II/550 motherboard, WIN98SE, and everything seems to be working fine, except I have a SMC 1211TX network card installed, and i noticed when I try to access the router, it takes a long time, but from any other computer, it is a lot quicker.

Do I have to change some of the values in the chipset? I have the manual, but it doesnt go into detail about it at all. I was reading up on it online, but never can get anywhere.

I would appreciate any help you have, if there is a fix for it or not.

Two things I would do up-front. Check to see if a BIOS update was available and check to see if I was using the latest drivers for the NIC. Have to forgive the K6-II's for having a lack of on-board cache memory. (L2) Luck.
