Hi, I just upgraded an older printer and scanner to USB connects and they will not work. Not recognizes and not connected are the messages. The printer software (drivers) refers to a poster for directions? Any ideas? THANKS

Not knowing what printers and OS we are talking about here...so...

Uninstall the printer(s), reboot...some printers need the software installed prior to connecting the USB cable...a newer HP will actually tell you to start the software installation and then tell you when during the installation to plug in the USB cable (yes a "hot plug in" is usually called for with USB). I just updated the drivers for a HP 932C Deskjet...took two installs before I realized I had to uninstall the previous batch of software (even for the same printer).
