I am currently building an AMD Athlon 2000+ and bought an Extreme Case for it. I assembled the system and turned on the PSU and I got the MB LED light on "MB has LED on the board for power check" as it should be but when I turn on the system "nothing" no fans no drive startup. The PSU is a Fortron/source 400w supply. Looks kind of generic to me :D your help would be most welcome. also the case has light bars on the front but I find no place to plug them into is there an adaptor for them?

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

It certainly could be a power supply problem, cheap power supplies that come with cases are often DOA. Two ways to check:

Use another power supply and see if you get POST.

Use a voltimeter to see what is coming out of the power supply.

Before you do anything, double check power connectors to make sure they are set up properly and make sure your CPU fan is plugged into the motherboard....

I don't know about the light bars, sorry...

Is the power switch wire connected to the correct pins on the mother board?

Also please post you system specs.

I found that the jumper for the CMOS terminal was mising from the board. Testers may have left it off before shipping

Yeah, that would make it difficult to run the thing... :D

Congrats on fixing it...
