Ok...My girlfriend has a sony vaio w/ a pentium 2..yesterday I came home and it was shut down..I booted up ,and during the boot process it said there was a resource conflict w/ the network card. I procedded to boot into safe mode(win 95), but it shut down by itself right after safe mode loaded..after starting it back up I went into the bios settings, set everything to default, saved and exited, now I cant boot...I dont even get a display..powers on, all that good stuff, I cant even boot off the system recovery disc that came w/ the thing...There's no display at all, no boot beep, no nothing...The hard drive lights when I turn it on, and it checks the cd, floppy, and zip drive, but thats it..from there it does nothing but sit there w/ the power light on...Can anybody help???

Go back to the CMOS and check the HardDrive settings.

Hi, BlastD2010 you've stated in your first post that you've already reset the BIOS, so doing it agin won't help. Does she have an expansion video card in there? Remove the network card, then try to boot-go into the Bios first, make sure that it intializing the proper display adapter ( ie, set it to AGP if that is what she has ). if you can successfully see the BIOS during boot, then try to get back in safe mode, remove all references to the network card, shut her down and try it in a different slot.
