View Full Version : Boot Problem -new Mb /cpu

I upgrade my PC( P-III) to P-IV 1.8 Ghz and new MB Assus P4S333
I still use my old HD but the system not boot from the drive's ( I set
the Bios to but the system stock ( run XP) I recived the blue sreen
Error 0X0000007B..
( check virus ?check the hardware ?.....)the HD are ok. I reinstall the old system end the HD and all work OK.
I am using for Mastert HD - MAXTOR 6L060J3 60 MB and Slave Quantum CX10.2 10MB
What is wrong whit my setup ??? on the new MB

The kind of changes you made are not really upgrades, but in reality a completely new system, you will most likely need to reinstall XP. Maybe running the repair feature will get you going, but quite probably a wipe and clean install is needed.

Just as mjc suggested Microsoft Knowledgebase says XP will often crash if you try to boot to a different chipset and their only suggested "solution" for that is to do a clean install of XP.
