First off Hello all,

Here's my problem, I have a AGP Leadtek GF3 THD running in PCI mode, on a Asus A7A266 MB.
I ran SphereMark and it says a PCI card is doing the rendering, Ran SiSoft and 3DMark03 and they both say I have Zip for AGP memory???
Not sure if the AGP memory part is relevent but seems to me that the DDR memory would run through the AGP bus correct? Anyway I have updated the Video,Bios and chipset drivers to the most current available. Please any suggestions here would be great! Thanks :)

WinXP Pro
Asus A7A266 with 512k 2100 DDR
AMD 2100XP
Leadtek GF3 Winfast 64meg DDR
DirectX 9.0
SB Live Platinum
WD 40gig

If anymore info is needed please ask! :)

The only thing you haven't mentioned are the AGP BIOS settings.....

But, what are your results?

If the card seems to work then it may not be anything to worry about, but if it seems slow then yes, there is something amiss...

Exactly what information would you like from the Video Bios? I have pulled up alot of specs last few days including Bios version etc, but not sure what you need? But thanks for taking time to try and help..you tell me what and where to look and I will post it asap :)

Hello Kara,

Welcome tohttp://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!

Some Motherboards automatically detect if an AGP card is being used and adjust accordingly. Some Motherboards require that you enter the BIOS setup and manually set either PCI or AGP.

You would want to enter the BIOS setup...usually, done by tapping the DELETE button immediately after you power up your computer.

You may want to have a look at the Motherboard manual first to determine where the setting is located and whether it is automatically detected or not.

If you need to set it manually to AGP, you would then normally press F10 to save your change and exit from the BIOS setup.

Thanks for trying to help...but have already been into MB bios and as far as I can tell everything that can be done has been. I am wondering if its perhaps a dip switch on the MB its self? But I have a feeling its a hardware issue between the card,MB and cpu. I will keep looking for answers and hope I can resolve the issue....thanks for the feedback :)
