I just got my new parts, and i'm hooking everything, and the motherboard has been giving me all sorts of problems. First it was some issues with the ram, so i was told, by the tech support until they decided to call it a day and leave and not help me anymore. Now i've finally gotten all my parts in, without it beeping and making any noises, but it won't display anything on the monitor. i'm using an ati all in wonder pro rage 128 32 mb card, and going out to a generic monitor. yes the card is pushed in all the way. any ideas on what could be going wrong? Thanks for the help.

I'm sorry your having a bad time fitzztif, I know it can be very frustrating. But all I know to say to you, is be sure to read the manual
very thoroughly, go over everything again to be very sure that the settings
are right. You also might want to leave out everything but RAM and floppy drive. The BIOS has a basic video and it also will tell you that it can't find the C drive. If it progresses that far then you have determined the motherboar is find. If not send it back. That's what I would do, but I'm sure someone else might have a better idea. SO stick around. Oh, and also
the RAM could be a culprit. You can have them tested at a computer shop if
that's possible for you or try the RAM chips in a nother PC.

I think you will need your video card pluged in the motherboard, I forgot
that part. Like I said just hang around, somebody will show up with some
better advice.

Hi;
What "new parts" have you installed? Are they all new?
Please provide more informatin about the parts you have installed. Do you have a good power supply - recommended for your board or processor? Are you sure that all the jumpers are correct on the board - some come shipped with the CMOS jumper set to clear - needs to be changed to "normal."
You may also want to try using a known working video card, and yes, triple check to see if it is seated correctly. I had one that seemed to seat correctly, but came up at one end just a little....
Finally, if you have installed a new motherboard, did you use only the plastic stand-offs to mount the board, or metal screws to secure the board? The board could be shorting. If you used metal screws, remount the board on plastic stand-offs only - check to make sure no contact is made by the board with the case. REMEMBER to be careful about static discharge.
