What is the best place online to buy hard drives? Of course the cheaper the better!

I know of 1 place but I'd like to compare it to other places 1st.

Thanks!
Neg

If you are referring to new hard drives, the big chain stores seem to have the best deals lately. Almost every week at least one has a drive on sale for $1 or even less per gig. These are usually 60, 80, 120 and other large drives. I haven't seen better prices anywhere else, although they do require dealing with rebates.

The place that I was talking about seems to have better deal than the chain stores (less the rebate); it's the following:

Unfortunately I don't know much about them so I would like to know if NE1 has dealt with them B4?

Thanks,

Those prices are considerably more than what I have been seeing in the chains... again, $1 a gig or less.

As for the vendor you mention:

Sorry in the stores I visit (MicroCenter, BestBuy), I don't see any offer where I get any deals of $1 per GB on any mark of HDD... Maybe it's just here in Boston that they're that expensive. Usually the cheapest 40GB drive goes for $90-100 without tax.
So when I see a WD HDD (80GB/ATA100) on that site for about 95 (with shipping) I got interested. What do you think?

HERE (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?catalog=14&DEPA=1&submit=property&mfrcode=0&propertycode=&propertycodevalue=3333,2999) are some good prices from a good dealer. $85 for an 80GB drive is pretty close to the mark. ;)

These sales end today, new sales start on Sunday.

Circuit City has a WD 160gig drive for $130 after rebates.
BestBuy has a WD 80gig drive for $80 after rebates.
CompUSA has an unadvertised special of a Maxtor 40 gig for $50 after rebates - you have to print the ad from the web and take it into the store.

OfficeMax and Office Depot didn't put out an ad this week, I think because of Easter. We don't have Staples here, so I don't know what they offer. MicroCenter rarely has a good deal on hard drives.
