Using hotmail, advice please, the coding via the keyboard to insert the Euro symbol € when using e-mail via hotmail.Currently I am using Ctrl/Alt/$ to obtain this symbol on this message.I do have a keyboard with the designated € but does not produce when pressed in isolation.
Have been in contact with Microsoft but they have advised for me to contact the keyboard manufacturer.Not much success from this source.
Can anyone advise?

Thank you for the reply. The article(s) on the Euro make interesting reading.I have checked the keyboard application using Microsoft Express and a local UK Internet provider NTL. Both of these systems accept the application of multi application relating to the keyboard keys of Ctrl/Alt/key$or4 respectively to produce the euro symbol of €.

On the other hand Hotpoint will not accept the above multi key entries to obtain the Euro symbol €

While it would be more favourable to press one key for the € symbol I object to having to pay for software to provide this feature. I will be using the above mentioned software when sending e-mails containing the €.

SOUTH...if you'd provide the keyboard manufacturer perhaps someone here can get a line on some assistance for you.

I just checked what results I get from Hotmail. I wrote my message with WordPad (any other will do I suppose), then pasted that message and Hotmail worked perfectly with the euro symbol. The message was sent to my Yahoo address.
