Howdy folks,
I've just upgraded my graphics card to an Asus A7100 Pro 64MB GF2 MX 400 (you know your PC is a relic when you consider a GF2 an upgrade..:))
For the sake of completeness I'm running W2K with SP3, Celeron 500 & 384MB RAM. As you can see it's not the latest in high end gaming rigs (it may have been in 1996!), but it suits my purpose just fine for the relatively older games I do play.
The current driver from the CD is 29.42. There are no problems associated with this card or driver, only that I have read that updated nVidia drivers do make a difference.
Browsing through the nVidia site, I see the current driver is 44.03 and weighs in at a whopping 18MB!
From perusing these forums, it seems to be a matter of trial and error as to which driver is the best suited to any one card.
However given that I'm one of the dinosaurs still on dial-up, I'm not really keen on d/l 18MB per driver and testing each one.
Is there any recommended detonator driver I should look for?
Cheers
