hi all i recently purchased a voodoo2 video card. i would like to install it. i have a amd 266 processor with a intergrated ati rage pro card now.how do i go about installing the new card . i do have the disk that comes with the new "to me" card. any help is good help thanks

Look in the disk that came with the card and see if there is a readme file that will tell you what order to install the software. I believe with video cards you usually install the software after installing the hardware. You will also need to check to see if you have to disable the old video card in the BIOS or on the motherboard with a jumper, that will depend on your motherboard. You may also want to Remove the current video driver and software from Safe Mode, shut down the system and install the card, then reboot and install the software for the new card if that is the correct order for this card.

thanks i got it figured out i kept getting the blank screen but i could hear the puter working . then i figured out i had to put a cable inbetween the old monitor output to the new card and then attach the monitor to the new card. seems to work hope its the right way. i did finally read the "readme file". if all else fails read the direction right :) thanks agian

I have never heard of it being done that way and I suspect that you are just using the old card/onboard video... More research may be needed.
