I just got my new motherboard in the mail, today, the Soyo Dragon, which I had ordered b/c the HSF clip on my Asus A7A broke off and my seller is across the globe. I put everything together and powered up my system, and I get absolutely no display! All my fans come on, my dvd and cd-r drives both check for discs, too. I've removed everything except the CPU and tried it, or only having the CPU, RAM, and graphics card, and I dont' get any beeps or display. Any ideas? The mb is brand new so it's not jumpers or bios settings, could it just be a faulty mobo?

Welcome fuzzba11!
What kind of video card AGP or PCI? Make sure when you plug the monitor connector to the video card, it doesnt come loose. When you put the monitor connector on make sure the video card is securly in. If it is try a pci video card if you have agp card , sometimes mobo dont like agp card right off.Youll have to load the miniport driver, supplied on the mobo cd,to open up your agp port. But asus boards are pretty good on booting anything. Try these things and post back.

FuzzBall... TaiSol makes a HeatSink/Fan unit that uses a different clip assembly (as opposed to the single clip on each side) that will work on Mboard Zif Sockets that have a broken clip retaining ear.
Realize you have went with a new Mboard, but don't whiz the Asus to the dumpster. Just me, but I go to RAM first and video second. Luck.

It's definitely not the seating of my graphics card (GeForce 3 AGP 4X) or if the monitor cable is in all the way. I can't even POST, so I don't see how I could possibly try loading a miniport driver. There is no other equipment that I can experiment with, either, so I think I'm going to send it back, Monday, and ask the company for another board.
