Iīm having some troubles with my keyboard.
When I try to put accentuation, they always come in double.
Ex.: when I want to use the (~) accent, it always comes like this (~~).

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif

Have you tried to change keyboard settings in Control Panel? There is a feature that allows you to set the sensitivity of repeating keys in some versions of Windoze, so I would check that out.

If you still need help, let us know a little about your system and what version of Windoze you are using....

First of all, Iīd like to thank you for your concern Budfred.

Actually, Iīd try to change the keyboard setting at the computer BIOS, but it didn't change anything. This keyboard still driving me mad...

Iīm using windows 2000NT. Do you think it could be a virus?

I am suggesting that you check out keyboard options in Control Panel, not the BIOS.

As for a virus, it could be, but usually they have more significant effects than just making a typo. I assume you have an antivirus running... have you performed a full scan?? Also, you might want to do a spyware scan with AdAware or Spybot. You can get them HERE. (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15179)

Do you think it is a matter of hardware or software? Because my keyboard is plug and play, but my previous one was a Microsoft keyboard (IntellyPro, I guess) and all that mess began with this keyboard.

If it is a new keyboard and you didn't have the problem before the new keyboard, then it is probably the new keyboard. Can you still exchange it for one that works properly?? Did it have any software with it that you did/didn't install?
