I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT IF THERE IS ANY EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE TO CONTROL THE DISTRIBUTION OF A/V INPUTS(VCR, DVD, CATV) THRU A PC.

i want to hook up a vcr, dvd player, and catv to two diffrent tv's and be able to watch what i want on each tv. that is to say that i want to watch catv on one tv and a dvd on the other(at the same time). i thought that possibly could control this through my pc.

have i muddied the waters enough?

If its just watching then why even bother with your PC just use the TV's remote, but if I'm missing something ATI's ALL in Wonder cards allow a mixture of devices to be pluged in and allows you to RX from them or TX to them.
