Debra, the temp is wayyyy to hi, are the fans working properly? take the side cover off and if your going to run it while your trying to find help here put an external fan blowing on it. has it been freezing up. hang tight and some body will get you straightened out.Do you have the old card if you do put it back in.

The memory problems have nothing to do with the video card...mjc posted a link that explains that problem in your other thread...
The overheating problem is likely caused by an improperly attached heatsink...did you use thermal paste? How hot is it in your house?
The lockups COULD be the result of the memory problem, 140F is hot, but not so hot that the cpu should lockup...you need to take out one of the 256mb modules so you only have 512mb and see what happens...
It would help if you could be a little more specific about the problems and provide some more details on your system...
------------------
When all else fails, read the instructions.
First off you have more than one problem....the out of memory error is very common in Win9x systems (and ME is just an interim update to Win98) with more than 512MB of memory, for an explaination go here (http://www.techadvice.com/specs/answer.asp?aid=182) or here (http://www.dewassoc.com/support/win98/win9x_512memory.htm).
Second the temps are very high and you need to find some way of reducing them...whether that is like Yoda suggested in your other thread, and open the case an let a household fan blow on it, for a temporary fix, or to freplace the heatsink and fan on the CPU or someother solution, like making sure that the fan is actually working in the first place. By the way, what is reporting such hig temps....is it the BIOS or a program supplied by the motherboard manufacturer that runs outside the BIOS and can be accessed while in Windows?
Third when you replaced the video card did you follow the instructions on how to remove the old card and drivers before installing the new one? It is absolutely essential that the old card and drivers be removed prior to installing the new one or lockups and other erors will occur....
