Howdy Everyone,
Not quite sure where to post this but as I think it is primarily a printer setting problem I'll try it here.
I am trying to print a continuous banner on my Canon C755 Multifunction. I am using the software Picture It Publishing Platinum 2002. I have all available updates and drivers. For some reason PIP and the C755 don't want to play nice together. I can make my banner just fine in PIP and get to the printing part, no problem there, I can even print the banner but the printer stops at the end of every page of banner paper and then starts again on the next page leaving big gaps and stripes and doubles of some things not a smooth continuous banner.I have been through every setting and while there is a setting for banner there is no setting for that in the page size box. Just letter and env. and the A4s and so on, nothing about continuous feed or banner paper. I have contacted Canon and have checked the M$ PIP knowledge base. I haven't heard from Canon and really don't expect too, and there was nothing in the kb that really pertained to what was happening. There was some mention of changing the printer settings first before even starting PIP and I did try that but no go. I have looked through the users manual and the only thing there about banner printing is that you may have to use custom settings but it doesn't tell you how to do that. Real informative. If anyone knows anything about the C755 or PIP I would sure appreciate any help. Thanks very much. LG;)

Does the printer have an option for "custom size" in the paper selection? Sorry if I'm teaching my grandmother, but it's the odd option that sometimes gets overlooked!

Not familiar with the Canon range, but most of the multifunction devices are based on a "standard" printer mechanism. If you could discover which, using the drivers for that particular printer might solve the problem.

Thank you David!
Yes, there is a custom option on the main tab as well as the page size drop down box. That's where I'm having the trouble, what do I tell it?? If I tell it 8.50 by 11.00 inches it prints a single page, if I tell it 7.50 by 23.00 (which the 23.00 is all it will let me do) then it says I can't use that with the banner printing setting. I've been playing with and cursing at this little stinker for two days now. PIP says the dimensions of my banner are 7.50 height by 29.23 width and the printer won't let me do that. I think they are backwards or something in PIP or the printer options. I've got it set for landscape so I don't think that's it.
How would I go about finding out exactly what kind of printer is in this?? I printed out the test page which gives the info on it and all it says is printer name: canon multipass c755 printer and then printer model: same thing. Are you as confused as I am yet??:D
Thanks again, LG;)

Yeah, I think I am! To quote an unknown Roman "sodomy non sapiens"!

It sounds as if the printer is confused over landscape and portrait mode. Does it work if the printer is set to portrait? Or does that give yet another error.

The Canon website does not appear helpful either.

One other possible solution is to buy another printer :D :D
