Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif
From the info you have provided it is hard to say what might be wrong.
Assuming that you have a USB port, you might want to install a USB mouse so that you can work on your system and then Remove the mouse drivers and reinstall them. I would Remove them in Device Manager from Safe Mode.
If that doesn't do it, post back more detail on your system and whether you changed anything recently that might be effecting your mouse. Install of new hardware or software in particular....

no no,listen...
probably i am bad with english but i hope you will understand.
i have III 500Mhz,Gigabyte ga-6bxc with intel 440bx chipset,64 MB on Win 98 SE
i use simple standard ps/2 mouse and keyboard
until that day everything was work fine
i dont installed anything ,hardware & software
just one day system doesnt recognised mouse
and keyboard & mouse refuse to work together
when i move mouse, keyboard works fine, but mouse is OK because i try two of them
so the problem isnt in mouse or keyboard

You usually don't need much to use a USB mouse except a USB port. That computer should have one. You may have to install some software to get it to run properly, but that would come with the mouse if needed. In the USA, you can find them for as little as $5.
I understand that it is probably not the actual mouse or keyboard that is the problem. It could be the PS/2 port, but hopefully it is not since that is part of the motherboard in the computer. If you Remove and reinstall the mouse driver, it will help to determine if the PS/2 port is the problem by ruling out the possibility that the software is the problem.
Another possibility is that you have some sort of virus/spyware/trojan infection and it might be wise to run security scans.

so you think that the motherboard hardware is OK?
i will try to remove drivers
but if there is some Trojan virus or something how i can find that
until now i used PC Cilin 2002 anti virus
Thanks man :)

The hardware on the mobo may be ok, it is unusual for a PS/2 port to go bad unless it has gotten a bad shock or power surge and that would usually knock out several other things as well.
You can go to mjc's security thread (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15179) to download programs to check for spyware and trojans. I recommend Spybot and Trojan Hunter (trial version). Also make sure your viru definitions are up to date since there are several new nasties around in the last week or so...
