I have a Samsungml-1210 printer attached to my XP machine. Everytime I boot up, the system tells me that it has found new hardware (the printer). The new hardware wizard pops up, and each time I have to cancel it out, since the printer and its drivers work perfectly. Any ideas on what to do to eliminate this annoyance?

You might just mant to uninstall, then reinstall the drivers. Did the drivers come from a CD, winXP, or the internet?

Until you let XP install the printer it is going to continue this behavior

Uninstall/delete the installed version of the printer
Then reboot and let XP find it again and install it.
If you cancel it XP will just keep finding it

Also suggest you do the uninstall and deletion form within safe mode.

Uninstall the software first then delete the printer from within the printers folder.
