I've got an interesting problem.
A computer was sent out for some work at my job. Upon booting the machine, during the RAM count, it says it has around 128MB of memory. When in Windows, however, the machine says it only has 96MB of memory. I ran MEM at the command prompt and it confirmed 96 MB of memory. I've seen the opposite of this numerous times, where the computer doesn't "seem" to see the entire amount of memory. Never the reverse though.
I decided to check BIOS to see what I would find there. Yet when I hit the delete key to enter BIOS (AMI Bios, and it indicated on the screen that Delete would give you access), I could not get in. I did this a few times. I tested the delete key in other applications in Windows and it worked.
I'm at a loss as to where to proceed from here.
Any help would be most appreciated.
EDIT: Still new at this tech game - so please cut me some slack. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
