hi!
I bought yesterday Kodak Easy Share cx 4230 digital camera in the local computer store.(170$)
it was not in its original box az usually, and i ask them was it used before by someone.
they told me that it is last one and was for demonstracion in vitrine and sometimes they took pictures
of each other, but it was new.
when i arrived at home i found that on the bottom of the camera is label REFURBISHED.
as i examine,camera works ok.
and my question is, would it be problem in future,i mean Refurbished, and what it means at all.

thanks.

They sold you the camera under false pretenses. I would seriously consider returning it for a refund. There are lots of good deals on refurb cameras out there if you know that is what you are looking at....

Well they told you right up front it was a Deminstration model and the last one they had I buy stuff like this all the time. get same warrenty for less money.. If your sceptical return it before the 15 or 30 days are up and buy a new one. As far as referbished just like buying a computer from a comp. dealer it has been refubished which means they have cleaned it fixed any damage mechanically (as to make it work properly)But may have blemishes (physical dings) and such Hey if it works and you get to use it for 2 or 3 years you have spent your money well. Every product has lemons new stuff off the shelf can be junk.

If you paid $170,00 for it you can get a new one for $129,00 on line

so to fair Factory Refurbished products have been returned to an authorized factory service center and restored to meet manufacturer quality standards.

NOT In Every Case

Example
Defective laptop with intermittent power up problem.
Returned for repair ..
Returned to me “ We Can’t find any thing wrong with it “ ( Same defect when booted )
Returned for exchange or refund

Same Unit sold online as refurbished ..
1 day after return
Was it repaired the second time it was shipped to them ..
NOT Likely
Listed for $350 less

well if your going to buy something used Then buyer beware It's not the fault of the store that someone is a dumb ass and it is not sold under false pretence when it is stated as used or a store Demenstrator model? If it is stated as Refurbished then it has to be Restored to to meet manufacturer quality standards. If it has not then return it until it is or get your money back and buy new and take your chances again. It's a pretty simple deal either keep it and quit complaning or take it back for a refund. I don't see the problem. other than expecting a cadillac in place of a Volkswagon

I sell referbished computers, CD Roms, Cd RW, Monitors.
Now I will say I give a years warrintary on any thing I sell.
Yes Rick, I know one day it may bite me but as of yet it has not. I am playing the numbers.
Yoda74, you can find some good deals but I always look for the warrrintary, and I tell people what it is.
