Hi, i have a PCchips mobo with an add-on ATX form card which has a connector for a PS/2 mouse...
problem is my keybord is PS/2, so i can't connect it in the bigger AT keyboard connector...i have the adapter but i'd have to wait till tomorrow and i have to test the machine now.
What would happen if i connect the KB to the mouse connector? nothing at most, or it would burn something?
Thanks!

Unless the port specifically indicates that it will handle either, it will most likely do nothing...

You should be able to find an adapter for the keyboard...I used to have two of them around, but as luck would have , at any given moment I can only ever find one.....if that.

This little baby is what you need......

Have that one already mjc, but not in here. It was just impatience to wait till tomorrow.
I'll give the ps/2 mouse port a try, but i don't think it'll work. it would be like connecting the KB to mouse port on an ATX board i guess.
Thank you people!
