Hi everyone,
I'm having problems when ever I try to go to "My Computer" or to "Explore". Evertime I try to go to either one of these I get the Blue Screen of Death, that says Fetal Exception Error OE 0028:00000009
I'm running Windows 98, I've tried a reinstall with the Win98 CD and not to far into it I got the same error message. I have deleted all of my Norton's stuff and my Adapt CD Creator (all that I had installed in the last 6 months. Before I unistalled Norton's I tried running the Win Doctor and it was giving me the same error....that's one reason I also deleted it.
Any ideas would be Very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Stealth

Here are a couple of links to help track this down... Q176446 (http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q176/4/46.asp) and Pagefaults (http://rvi.net/~moke/MokeHlp/MSBMRKS.htm#pagflt)

Also any more info about this error would be helpful.

Here's another one that might help: Q189655

There was also a troubleshooting guide for OE errors on the Microsoft site.

Interestingly enough, both of the programs you dumped were actual examples one with Norton and one with a CD creator (I think it was Creative).

OEs typically occur when the system attempts to access virtual memory on a demand-page basis and the page is missing or corrupted.

My all your dealings in life be win/win!
