The other day while I was working on my pc it froze up on me. I just shut it down by the power switch. After a few hours to my surprise the pc was still on but just a black screen. At that time I tried to shut the switch off again and it would not shut off so I pulled the power plug from the back. Now when I try to turn it back on I have nothing. I hit the on switch and it does nothing. It is nothing to do with the power surger as my other pc works fine on it. What could have happened?
Atx motherboard (pentium 11)
amd-k6 400 cpu

My first guess is that the power supply went bad.
"Now when I try to turn it back on I have nothing." Meaning, the power supply fan (or heat sink fan, if you have one) doesn't even start spinning? ATX motherboards have a power-on feedback circuit to the power supply, so the board itself may have gone bad.

Thanks kenja for your response. Yes I mean the fan or nothing will start up. From everything I have been reading it points to the power supply. Sure hope it is not the board. Quess I will have to take it somewhere and find out. Thanks Again

ATX power supplies are "switching" type, and don't work without a load. You might try one of these testers (http://www.pcpowercooling.com/products/alarmandaccesories/accessories/popups/index_tester.htm) from pcpowercooling.com ($10, delivered).
