3dfxvs.dll is a voodoo video card driver file.
Check here for a possible solution:

that site doesnt tell me anything, just says to roll back my driver which means no games will work with the old driver. Anyone know where to get a COMPATIBLE Windows XP Voodoo 3 driver from? I know there are those ones which aren't signed but they stuff up your computer. Anyone know where to get windows XP signed ones from?

Daniel-Man,

The problem is that Voodoo ceased to be long before XP came out. The drivers will never be updated to handle XP....period.

If I remember you had other video driver issues before and went on a driver hunt then and are using what was found. That is the best there is, sorry.

No, with something that is basically being supported by volunteers you will not have full function/features/support as if it were still under production. It may be time to retire that card to an older back up machine that runs 98 or a Linux box...it just doesn't have what it takes to work under XP!

hmm, i think I'll just get a new 3dfx card. Can you recommend any which are at a good price at the moment?
