hi

I'm trying to install a cordless usb mouse from Memorex RF 4350. The manual says remove present mouse drivers but ther're website says this is not required for a usb device as it uses the USB drivers initially, from the OS (98 SE) from which you can then install the Memorex ones.

My old mouse is in the usb port I'm attemping to install the cordless into.

I've followed the instructions on setting the IDs for the receiver and the mouse but I get no reponse from it (no movement or clicks)

Could the present mouse drivers be the problem? and if so how do I uninstall mouse drivers?

Thanks for any help you can give

Generally you can Remove any drivers by going to Device Manager and highlighting the device, then click on Remove. You can get to Device Manager by Right clicking on My Computer and selecting Properties, then the Device Manager tab. There are several other ways to find it and it will vary a bit depending on which Windoze you are using. If you find more than one mouse device, it is usually a good idea to remove all of them and then install your software on reboot....
