Hi,
could someone throw some light on this problem for me please? My system will only boot to safe mode and doesn't accept other choices on offer. Tried start up disk, scanreg /restore, disable NAV, System restore, edit C:\windows\system.ini, etc...but to no avail.I tried getting into windows by MSDOS and got the ff message "While initializing device IFSMGR ; The Microsoft installable file system manager cannot find the helper driver. Please ensure that IFSHLP.SYS has been installed. System halted".When I run a search for this helper driver, found it under C:\Windows.
Any ideas where to proceed from here? By the way my system specs are as follows AMD Athlon 1GH, Win Me, 128 RAM.

First wait a couple of minutes and then boot totally shut down your system and unplug it from the wall. Wait a while and then try to boot up.
