Computer started rebooting after a short time. I found that the heatsink plastic housing that is attached to the MoBo with four screws is broke where the heatsink clips secure the heatsink to the MoBo. I have checked on the internet for replacement NO luck. This is a Dell pentium 4. Any ideal where I might buy this needed part.
Thanks

That situation usually means replacing the MB.

If that Dell is still under warranty, don't even think about trying to fix it, get Dell to send someone out to fix it. If no more warrantly, you will likely have to look at a whole new machine since buying a Dell motherboard will likely cost a bundle and other boards will probably not work in a Dell case...

Received replacement socket, it worked great, the modification wasn't necessary.
Thanks

I see a solution to your problem has been found. Another solution would be to buy a heatsink that bolts through the motherboard such as Alpha's PAL 8942T or Swiftech's MCX4000-B.
