Hey all, first time posting and i needs some help.

My power supply just "popped" when i switched it on a couple of days ago, and if you could guess. It didnt turn back on. I opened up my PS unit and found that the fuse had blown. Next day i bought a new fuse for it, replaced it. but when i turned it on, it exploded again and confirmed to me that it was indeed dead. (fried circuit board etc.) Today i got a new 300w ps unit and now i'm afraid to turn it back on. Is there any chance that the Motherboard is to blame? or maybe the MotherBoard may have been damaged in anyway when the PS blew?

I just need to make sure.

There is always the possibility that the M/B is damaged .
However if the PS fuse blew it should be safe to assume that it (PS) was the cause.

Unless you have all the test equipment the only was to find out is to install the new PS and turn it on .

If they system was running before the fuse blew (Not A new system Build ) you should be safe to install the PS and test it.

It was working fine the night before i was using it. Then i switched it on in the morning and "Bang" it blew. Switching it on from the main power socket in the wall. That happened the same time when i replaced the fuse.

Just hope it didnt damage the board. I have no money or time to get a new one.

Sometimes the worse problems are called "little brother" or "letseewhathappensif".
Make sure the PS is set for the voltage of your country (110 i guess).
