Last night after hearing a click my PC froze. It happened three or more times more, then a reboot with an error message saying I would need to boot with my XP CD to repair XP. This morning the PC would not boot stoping in the bios at the point it should be identifying the hard drive. OH! OH! Was my hard drive dead? Then I noticed the floppy drive light was on. Why? Maybe this was the problem AND IT WAS. Unpluging the floppy and everything was rosy again.

I guess the moral of this story is when a problem hits the error messages and signs don't always lead you to the cause.
