Hi,

I have a circled exclamation point on my IDE controller.

My CD-rom doesn't work.

I have a Plextor 8432

Please help

The circled exclamation point means Windows is unable to find the drivers for the device or there is a conflict .
Using device manager check the reason for the exclamation point .
If it shows drivers missing .
You can install your IDE controller drivers using update or with an install program provided by the Mother board and or IDE controller maker

if it shows a conflict then you will need to post more info to resolve the conflict.
If it shows unable to open the port. Then you should first check the bios settings for both the drive (Auto detect is best) and the controller both channels should show enabled
