There is no power from my pc. When it turns on the screen comes on but
there is no power from the base unit. (CPU)

When you press the switch on button the button light does not come on, the
fan in the computer does not come on.

But there is a light that appears on the motherboard.

Someone has looked at the switch and said it is ok. I have also had someone
look at the power supply - this was changed but it still does not work.

Any ideas?

Hi...

sounds like a dead mobo but first you may want to reseat all the power connectors and double check that those little power connectors to the mobo are on the right posts (power switch, hdd led, restart etc)
